Bishop Johnson's Books

Bishop F. Josephus Johnson, II, is not only a Bishop and Senior Pastor, but he is also a renowned Bible scholar and author.  Over the past 15 years, he has written five (5) books that provide insight to the body of Christ, church development, family relationships, and the community at-large.

In 1983, Dr. Johnson authored the book The Church: The Family of Families.

The popularity and power of his 1997 sermon series titled, “Family Mess” inspired him to write God is Greater Than Family Mess in which he illustrates God’s sovereignty and power to work in the midst of the family problems of Abraham - the father of Israel and the Christian faith - and through the family trials of believers in Jesus Christ since they are his spiritual seed.

In 2004, Dr. Johnson completed his third book (manifesto) titled Out of the Closet of Denomination and Into the Spotlight of Reformation - the Eight Ministries of the Holy Spirit.

In 2005 and 2007, Dr. Johnson released two new books, The Eight Ministries of the Holy Spirit - From Denomination to Reformation: An Introduction to Biblecostalism and The Eight Ministries of the Holy Spirit Study Guide.

The Eight Ministries of the Holy Spirit presents eight works of the Holy Spirit in the life of the sinner/believer and an introduction to Biblecostal theology.  Its purpose is to familiarize believers with the work of the Holy Spirit in their lives. The style is scholarly, but readable. The book will familiarize you with the biblical basis for a more well-rounded Christianity that combines the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.
